I wouldn't say that I excel at anything really but my pots seem to do better than anything else in my garden. Everything else is a bit hit and miss. You also forgot to add weeds ;D ;D

What about those of us who are not experts on any area - we just plant and hope for the best

I wouldn't say that I am really an expert at anything, but I do seem to be quite successful with Alpines.

If expert is a drip under pressure - then that's me I'm just a keen amateur, with a few reference books x Tig

Well, we are all experts to someone, and duffers to someone else, just depends on how much they know about the subject. ;D I know about Herbaceous more than anything else.

ooooh....I really like foliage plants atm....and veg...and fruit, annual flowers, perennial flowers, trees, shrubs, climbers, houseplants, alpines, culinary herbs...quite like cacti...
Leafy exotics are my special favourite....and I have a few of them. BUT I am no expert!

I'd like to be an expert one day... for now I have far to much to learn tho One area I will never be an expert is house plants - I always manage to kill them Jardack

I think expert is too strong a word. Inclination towards perhaps.... At this moment in time it's been the hard landscaping and design for me (I couldn't click them both!). But I will probably veer towards somthing else at a later date. Probably trees and shrubs One thing is for sure, never an excelling type!

Again, no expert really but my preferences do lean towards perennials. You can fit more in a small space than you can shrubs.
