I had one of these given to me years ago by a well-meaning and generous cousin who saw me battling with piles of oak leaves - but it was useless and I bunged it in the garage. I tried to sell it at a carboot sale once for a fiver, and failed.
A week or so ago, I needed a 'blower' to remove the final reluctant bees from their frames of honey as we were stealing harvesting it and, set to 'blow' it performed admirably, and I thought I'd finally found a use for it.
Today, having made a hell of a mess of collecting the box clippings from my little hedges with a grass rake (more gravel than clippings in most piles) I thought of the Gardenvac again - and blimey, what a useful tool it is, finally, after 10 years...
So, Flymo, sorry for rubbishing your product all this time, and sorry to the late cousin Tony (wherever he is) who bought it for me...
OM.

Funny you should mention these things. I have been encourageing (we don't have nagging (feminine) or moaning (masculine) in our house ) to buy a sucky blowy for ages and today he finally did it!!! Of course with my OH it was done with as much searching and comparing of info as when he buys a car. This tool, as you all should know, will, after all, be in the 'Man Tools' department. ;D

Bet you're glad no one would pay £5 for it at the car boot now aren't you?

I'm afraid I am of the same opinion OM. Whilst I am fit enough to pick up leaves and other garden debris, I don't see the need to drag one of those new fangled contraptions around the garden. Which reminds me, I must remember to have our goat's teeth sharpened before the lawn needs cutting again! ;D

They're awfully good for dry leaves cos they munch them up as well OM, glad you didn't have the switch on suck by mistake when you did the bees! ;D
