I found reference to this by chance, it is quite disturbing and appears to have caused significant problems for some allotment holders who have bought in bulk for the entire site, total crop failures for this seasons spuds, toms and beans, and it may take over a year for the soil to decontaminate And it seems no-one has been able to confirm if there is any issue with eating produce which has grown in the affected manure - quite worrying I thought. www.pesticides.gov.uk/garden.asp?id=2465www.rhs.org.uk/news/Weedkiller-manure.aspIt is worth noting if you use manure x Tig

That is bad enough Tig, but it really does make me wonder what residue is left in the meat which we are all eating. How do we put things right again?

By eating organic as far as you can! I know it's not a 100% guarantee but it's better than nothing at all. And it's not just the meat either - we buy organic milk just because of all the cr@p that non-organic cows eat and it all goes into the milk!!! It's scary Tig but I don't use manure (well I use organic chicken manure pellets) but I worry about what's spilling into my mum's pond which is fed via a chicken farm - sometimes the slick on the pond looks and smells horrible and I can't help wondering how that would affect vegetables if she grew them. They are inundated with rabbits though so don't grow veggies
