I don't know if we need one or not but I thought I'd see if anyone wants a thread for those little everyday whinges that you want to get off your chest but don't want to start a new thread about. I'll start off with a whinge about my local "garden" centre. I can buy scented candles, pot pourri, mirrors, picture frames, childrens clothes, books, household cleaning items and such like but not any fruit or veg (except a meagre selection of seeds), plastic flower pots or bamboo canes. Is it a garden centre or is it a "lifestyle" centre for crying out loud ! I had to go to my local Homebase for the things I needed, including the cucumber & courgette plants And another whinge - why did no-one tell me it was going to pour with rain for ¾ of today ? I could've got some feed & weed on my lawns and got rid of those dandelions ! Whinge away folks FA x

Yeah....i'll post a whinge Yesterday, i posted an ADULT smiley in the ADULT jokes section. It was funny and it ran alongside other ADULT jokes which used graphic language. Well a member of admin decided they didn't like it and it was removed. The smiley was graphic but not pornographic and you certainly couldn't see anything sexually. To say i was slightly p****d off is an understatement. Note to admin.....if you don't want things of an ADULT nature to be shown in the ADULT area....get rid of the section or make it subscription only after declaring that you're over 18. I am soooo close to leaving this board.....as petty as it may seem, it bloody annoyed me

Can I whinge about socks? I really don't like socks. Why is it even when I try and be organised and use those little net bags I still have a pillowcase full of odd socks! I even banned patterned socks, but now I have 5 different shades of black, pink, lilac, you name it. And pegs. Every time I put the washing out they break. I throw the broken ones around the garden in anger and then have to traipse around picking them all up when my tantrum is over. I feel better now.

The general public does it for me really.
Working today... heard the phrase "last of the big spenders" about 7 times and "you were hiding" (if I was bloody hiding I wouldn't have called them over to my till now would I?! Jeez!!). Also been asked about 40 times what time we closed with it being bank holiday monday. There are bloody big signs outside saying open until 9pm!!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand some daft bint phoned up at half 5 asking what time we were open til and then said she thought we'd have shut already. So WHY DID SHE PHONE?!!!!!!!!!
Oooooooooooooooooooooh I could go on.... but I won't cos I'm ready for bed and I'm trying to wind down...

Shop Assistants licking fingers when they get the plastic bag open for you to put YOUR shopping in It happens everywhere, M & S, the supermarket, the post office - do I want to take hold of a bag that some assistant has "spit" on I now take my own shopping bag with me at all times Anyone else noticed this

I never spit on bags and none of my staff do either...
Had some miserable old fart in earlier asking if we sold the seats to go in showers. Advised her no, told her where she would be able to get one from and she started having a go at me cos we didn't sell them. We sell showers so obviously we should sell mobility items too....

I hate excessive and/or unnecessary packaging. Last week I ordered five Laurel & Hardy DVDs from Play.com, @ £2.99 each. The VAT-free limit for imports from Jersey is £18.00 so naturally I assumed that as all five were ordered at the same time, they would all arrive together in the same box. Silly me! I should have realised when I received five separate email notices of despatch, and sure enough five individually wrapped parcels arrived bright and early on Tuesday morning.

Please can I have a whinge about my 'recyclers'...
While I'm all for recycling, and welcomed the local councils kerbside recycling scheme, the council employees who do the recycling just don't seem to grasp the concept. They seem to leave more rubbish on the footpath and street - broken glass, tin cans etc. Last week I literally chased the guy down the road with bits of cardboard and a few tin cans!!! And when I said 'you've left these behind' he looked at me as if I was crazy!!!!
And while I'm having a whinge, my window cleaner....lovely bloke, saves me a job.......but why does it always start raining when he's done the windows ;D

Had 2 extremely busy days at work (far too busy to be working safely and tomorrow looks worse) Newish computer system managed to loose over 400 inputs (completely disappeared into a black hole) so they all had to be done again and I was left by myself for much of the afternoon Got over 200 left over from today to catch up on tomorrow on top what comes in the meantime - the work load is gettting unsustainable, shall continue this whinge at a meeting tomorrow (in my lunch hour ) and there was I looking to cut my hours down, might be looking for something else if this continues

had to laugh at work today (when I wasn't being hounded by old farts complaining about something or absolutely nothing as they usually do).
One of the girls on my team was looking to go for my job now that I've handed my notice in (resigned supervisor position and going back to minion). She was told to speak to me to find out what the job entailed. I gave her the facts in an honest manner and for some reason she doesn't want to do it anymore... can't think why... ;D

This is one of my bug bears Spru I get really cross. I did try to talk Tesco's into letting me take my veg out of their plastic trays and wrappers with little success. I wish we could all take our excess wrappings back to the supermarkets and let them deal with it, then perhaps they would only sell their products in bio-degradable wrappings. I do recycle the trays for my seeds as much as possible BTW.

As I feel I am turning into a "grumpy old woman", perhaps I should start a petition about Supermarket packaging, do you reckon it will go anywhere?

I am definitely "off on one" tonight - any H & S experts out there? "work stations fit for purpose" advice would be welcome. Its just this new computer system has thrown up lots of problems. Its a scanning system which is great for safety, but the area it has been installed in and used for scanning is insufficient and totally cluttered and the computer and keyboard is at the wrong height for comfortable use.

My whinge is about noisy neighbours (or is it about flats with paper thin walls). I'm sleep deprived as it is without being woken at stupid o'clock by a) them rowing through the wall next door or b) her entertaining her fella upstairs with accompanied banging and moaning. If I could find the energy, I'd pay them back !

Total lack of respect in the world or is it just this country!!!
Cyclist, both young and old, who don't have lights on their bike at night! If the adults don't do it, how can we expect the youngsters to follow suit? I remember my visit to my local bike shop (not big superstore) to pick up my set alongwith the brackets, as it meant my parents trusted me to cycle at night! Oh and helmets too not worn by kids (and adults!) I can't belive the amont of 4 year old's cycling without a helmet, even their first go without stabilisers!!!
Sorry whinge over for now!

On the same theme, cyclists riding their bikes on the pavement. Specifically adults who should know better. As a child I wasn't allowed to ride my bike on the road, and I have no problem with children doing the same now, but why must adults follow suit? I'm not talking about designated cycle paths, just the regular footpaths, a number of which have No Cycling signs clearly displayed, not that this seems to make any difference. I'm afraid that if I find myself - as a pedestrian - sharing a footpath with an adult cyclist, I make sure that I walk in the middle of the path so as to force the cyclist to either move back onto the road, or at least utter the magic words "Excuse me, may I come past?". It's at times like these that I miss my Black Labrador dog. Five stone dog on one side, me on the other and lead in the middle - cyclists beware! It used to be like a sort of rolling roadblock!

Bikes with no lights very scary when you suddenly realise they're there! But what about drivers who can't be bothered to put lights on in poor visibility . It's not rocket science to flick a switch when things get a bit dim (but not as dim as the drivers

Having no lights on their bike cost a gentleman near where I lived his life and it made front page of the local paper. Will it put people off, no! A car cut the corner a little, to go down a country lane and just didn't see the cyclist there waiting to come out. He was let off with causing death, but got done for cutting the corner! I should add also these flashing red back lights that are only LEGAL IF THEY ALSO HAVE AN ORDINARY RED STATIC LIGHT AS WELL. How many do though? Keith P.s. I don't hate cyclist at all, I am one, just know what to do!!

I don't know why there's a problem with the flashing red lights. I think they really catch your attention, and you know straight away it's a bicycle and you're gonna going to come up to it pretty fast so you can ease off the gas.
