Now we have got rid of the Ivy over our Bathroom wall I can re-introduce the wall pots which used to be there filled with Busy Lizzies every year. Too late for bedding but has anyone any ideas what I could put in them to make a show for the rest of the summer? The area is shady, doesn't get much sun at all (although gets quite a bit of light) so I can't use my spare Pelargoniums. Any ideas?

I don't know if there are any ideas which you could use in this link - although it takes you to the Spring ideas, there are various seasons to choose from.

I think I'll leave it for now and try some winter pansies, see if they can cope with the lack of sun, even worse in Winter. Then next year back to the Busy Lizzies which always used to make such a good show.

Thanks Dutchy and Chuckles and yes, NO, I think Dutchy may have meant Pernettya which I may well think about for the Winter. I think it's too late to do anything for this summer but those Barnsdale wall pots may inspire me for next year. I'm going to Leicester next week to visit rellys with my Mum. Wonder if we may get to Barnsdale. Haven't been there for quite a while.......

Did you do any pansies in your wall pots SR or get to Barnsdale to see those I posted pics of. I've done a couple of plastic terracota pots with pansies this week and put them in some metal type baskets from Ikea that hook on to trellis.
