Hello all, Anyone still using Norton? I'm getting this message that I'm eligible for a 2008 update. But it says that add and pop up blockers are no longer available. I'm not sure whether to do it or not?

Hello all, Anyone still using Norton? I'm getting this message that I'm eligible for a 2008 update. But it says that add and pop up blockers are no longer available. I'm not sure whether to do it or not? I have used Norton in its various forms and have found it slows down the computer and doesn't work all that well. My ISP provides McAfee for free so I am using that at the moment, but if I were to choose one I would go with these three: Antivirus - either Antivir or AVG Spyware - Spyware Terminator Firewall - Comodo All are available on the Internet as free versions to download That sounds a bit Irish, so I hope it makes sense.

Hi Roan Thanks for the recommendations. The thing is, I've got about 150 days left on my subscription, so don't want to change really until that runs out. I've tried to download one ot two things online before as add ons to my cover, but some of them ask me to cancel my current cover so they can take over. Maybe I'll ignore the update, and check out the alternatives when the time comes.
