I thought I would share some pics of my adopted new addition. Her name is Charlie and she was actually one in the one litter that my female cat, Morph, had about 10 years ago (making her my male cat, Dave's, sister!) She is also the mother of my friend's cat. I have adopted her, as sadly her owner has been taken ill, and is now in a home so is unable to keep her and I couldn't bear the thought of her being put into a rescue centre and there was no-one else able to take her. So I now have a cat with normal paws (Morph and Dave both have one extra toe on each paw!)

Thanks everyone.
She's been with me for about 2 and half months now. Initially she was very wary of Dave and Morph, and although they may not be the best of friends, they do get on and there hasn't been any fighting between them, which was my one big worry. She has definitely settled in well, and she seems to think that the chair in the garden (in the second pic) is hers and if she isn't on it, she is under it! She is fairly placid, although she won't take any nonsense from my neighbour's 10 month old Cockerpoo!

It is with great sadness that this afternoon Charlie had to be helped to go to sleep. I don't know exactly what her illness was, only that she must have been covering it extremely well, until the last few days when she went rapidly down hill at a very alarming rate. She had great personality and I will miss her terribly. RIP my lovely little character

Aw bagpuss, how sad, but how wonderful that you were able to take her in and care for her over the past number of years. She was a little beauty.

So sorry to hear this bagpuss, but you gave her a wonderful life when she might have had to go to a rescue.
