in a hanging basket round at our bowling green, we have a little brown bird, and she has 3 tiny babies, isnt it all a bit late, i have never heard of bird chicks at this time of year.

Dont worry Barbara birds tend to know more about the weather and Seasons than we do and they know when there is plenty of food for their young so they can and do have late broods. This time last year we had Swallows sitting on eggs but they all fledged well after the rest had gone but I'm sure they made it down to Africa or where ever they go.
