You take Class A drugs April Only paracetamol if I reeeeeeeeally have to. Don't like taking tablets for stuff that will sort itself out eventually. But it depends on the type of pain as to when I will draw the line and take a pain killer. And I said coke as a generic soft drink, not wishing to advertise for a certain manufacturer ;D

I've never seen one before. Very pretty. Will take a photo of my ring Shrubby I've often thought of selling it, but my Mother's Aunt was a formidable woman, and I've always been afraid that she come back to haunt me and make my life a misery.

This thread does get you thinking ;D I had one of those little scooter things as a child and I remember it being painted a different colour every couple of years, luv'd it. The colour was whatever gloss paint we had left over from decorating Mmm a solitaire, also wanted one but then changed my mind and wanted a row of diamonds, not huge ones. I eventually got an eternity ring for my silver wedding anniversary with a row of small ones that crossed over a gold band. Love those bracelets P I'd quite like one of those. Like you P, I have most of the small thing that I want, another spoilt brat then ;D Read somewhere on here about a Coney fur coat, always wanted one and was given one by a friend in the 70's. Then just before I got married in 1981 I bought myself a lovely one, £40 which was a lot of money to spend then. Don't have either of them anymore Peoples wants do vary don't they, interesting thread

Goodness me Pandora are getting free advertising - do you think I could persuade them to let me have one to show off??? ;D ;D ;D I think I'd probably start off with just a few beads but I know I'd want more - I'm the kind of person that likes to go to whole hog! I also want a new oven btw - much more practical!!!

The good thing about bracelets like that is, that people can always thing of something to give you as a gift. When I was much younger, I had a charm bracelet, so at birthdays and Christmas I was given new charms.
FB Surely there must be SOMETHING that you wanted as a child that you didn't get? Even if it was a type of biscuit like me?

Well i cant think of anything,Weet,i had a lovely life in the country, woods and fields to play in,be with my dad when he was working in the fields, get to ride on his horses, even take them to the fields by myself when i got older. The only thing i remember wanting, was a pair of footie boots, which i did get when i was picked to play for the school team.

What a lovely thread. I have everything I want (another spoilt brat then : and some things I dont !!!!!!!!!! The one thing I really covet at the moment is my HGV licence and thats looking more remote than ever Like everyone else at the moment money is a rarity in this house. Everythings going up except wages and winter draws on I would like a "big" ring. Not a diamond (not keen ) but something substantial - not seen it yet but I will know it when I do ;D I have two beautiful rings that Karl bought me and a MUM ring from my girls, but a "big" ring would be nice In general I am very fortunate - I did really want a beautiful dress once, but I was naughty and my Mum wouldn't let me have it. I never did get that dress, but now I understand why ! Cant moan at that I suppose ;D

I have spent the last two evenings amazed - because I can see the 3d images OH was always useless at seeing them, but after a bit of practice tonight he is enlightened too - I am so easily pleased x Tig

I wish I could wolf whistle too - ho hum - I've got other skills I guess. But I can see Magic Eye pictures. I've always wanted to be able to roller- and ice-skate but I have a terrible sense of balance. And when I was little I used to wish for a fairy doll (coz of Milly Molly Mandy I think!) but I never got one. I probably would have chopped all it's hair off anyway!

WeeT, I've just been looking at Brittany Birch knitting needles and know exactly what you mean. A friend will be 50 at the end of August and I thought I would treat her to some special needles. We all knit with a (much loved) collection of bought and inherited needles and you're right they aren't that expensive, but somehow you never do it. I'd been thinking of treating her to a few pairs of the Brittany needles in the most used sizes and perhaps a roll to keep them in. She's a more skillful knitter than I am anyway and will put them to v good use. Am v tempted though to indulge myself at the same time.

Well, I think that's a lovely idea for your friend, original and useful, bet she would be delighted. I know I would. I think Knitting must be popular again, there are some great websites, though it isn't cheap, is it? Cheaper to buy garments, but that's not why we knit nowadays. I've taken up dressmaking again too, just for myself, as I can never find anything I like in the shops, plus I hate clothes shopping. And..............obviously, you must treat yourself

I've always wanted to write a good novel. I play about writing little stories on AF...thing is I've been reading 2-3 books a month (at least) since I was about 5 years old...so everything I write is sooooo derivative. One day...... ;D

I wouldn't have the first clue how to go about it though

I have always wanted to sing (in tune). At primary school our music teacher used to go around the class and listen to us sing. When she came to me she said I was a "grunter" and made me stay behind after school.I will never forget her (she slapped me on tghe leg once too). If I am out and about late at night I will sing along to songs on my ipod if I am sure there ius no one about cos I just love singing along to Dylan, Neil Young and Nick Cave. I also sing along at the end of my garden away from the family. OH and sons all sing along while strumming their guitars. I may well join a singing class for people who can't sing because I am determined to learn one day! Time is running out.

I've written some childrens stories for my Grandkids - probably an 'easier to please' reading circle I always wanted to whistle with two fingers and could never do it! I used to be able to get a good squeal from a split blade of grass though I can sing - occassionally do karaoke (when my vocal chords are well oiled ;D) Friends have been quite kind about my efforts, but then, they were well oiled too
