I think no 2 would look more delicate and nicer All the others are more dramatic, but a lot of black infilling (OUCH!!) Of the others, I like 4

As long as it is no bigger than an inch wide and it is secreted somewhere discreet on your body - no 2 ;D

I like no 1 but like NO says there will be a lot of black ink on that one. I quite like a small delicate tattoo i have a small dolphin on my ankle i realy like it. It wasnt painfull either i had it done in Greece by an english guy who had set up a studio there.

Can I ask if you have any other Butterflies to choose from Karen as I would prefer one that doesnt look too much like a butterfly if you know what I mean - the insect body for eg - more of a cartoon type but feminine at the same time
They look too real and you dont want some mad entomologist making a swipe at you
I have a blue bird which I love ;D

Thanks all No 2 is the one i was thinking of getting its the nearest i could find to a butterfly ive seen in my garden, i do like no 1 but its the thought of all the shading that puts me off. I would only go for a small one on my right shoulder, but ive got to pluck up courage to do it first.
FB if i do have one done i will post a photo on the board, but ive got to do it first.

I suggest you go to your chosen tattoo parlour and have a look at their stock of work. All those look like photos and tattoos don't look like photos when they are done. By all means, take the photos with you as an idea of what you're aiming for but don't expect miracles!
If they are a good reputalble place (you will see gloves being worn etc!) they will have some wonderful designs and they will advise you accordingly. And they will show you thier equipment if you ask.
Also bear in mind that outlining is usualy done with a needle head that has one needle in it and is fine work that takes time. Colouring is done with a needle with several heads in it that covers the area better so is less uncomfortable. The more outline and fine lines - the more uncomfortable it is.

Any news/progress Karen. Why dont yu buy a packet of those stick on tattoos. You place on your skin and then press with a water based tissue. They look very real and you can get the "feel" of having one on your body ;D
