It's at times like these when I'm glad that I don't have a mobile phone, but for those of you that do, this has just surfaced on a round robin email at work.... Dear All
If you receive a phone call on your mobile from any person, saying that he or she is a company engineer, or telling that they're checking your mobile line, and you have to press #90 or #09 or any other number, end this call immediately without pressing any numbers.
There is a fraud company using a device that once you press #90 or #09 they can access your 'SIM' card and make calls at your expense.
Forward this message to as many colleagues, relatives and friends as you can, to stop it.
Many thanks for your time regarding this matter, take care and regards.
Phil Corris Police Constable/Crime Prevention Officer Ext 496696 (Internal) 01524 596696 (External) Email PhilCorris@lancashire.pnn.police.ukBy all accounts this has been doing the rounds for a few months, but does seem to be still relevant so be warned!

Although if you do get a call from someone asking you to press this that and the other and you don't know who they are, politely refuse and end the call. Or tell them you're going to hunt them down and shove their phone up their @rse ;D FA x

Yeah that is, admittedly, a lot more fun FA... ;D But they know that you'll never find them so unless you can somehow get their details up instantaneously and give them the freak out there and then, it just means they have your phone number to annoy you again.
I used to love it when I worked for a breakdown company that had a database of all the public telephone box numbers. When the little gits used to phone up pretending to be broken down and then making up all silly names etc, I used to phone them back and tell them exactly where they were and said that if they waited there, the police would be along shortly.... they didn't call back!
