--"Best in Show--2008". Well done to Admin to come up with this idea--- I think this is a great idea--it is for a bit of fun and the 'taking part' that appeals to me--and no one knows who has entered-- I wonder How many others do the same because I dont want to be the only one who enters ;D--cause I wouldn't like to Win all the Prizes-- Bigs

I haven't taken any pics....theres not much left to look at after all that rain recently. I don't even know what we're supposed to be submitting pictures of Must be a failing of my communication skills... back in May we flagged up the idea of a lighthearted, virtual 'village hall flower and produce' show and it's been mentioned since, but for those who missed the threads (they're titled "Best in Show") take a pic of anything grown at your patch this year that you are particularly pleased with, and pm it (or them, you can submit up to three) to admin for a sort of POTM-polled voting to win a (quite decent) prize. It could be something you've posted here before if it's no longer around to photograph afresh - that sort of loses the anonymity factor, which is a shame - but if you really have nothing left in the garden now or nothing stored, that might be a way to participate... I remember it being suggested OM but unfortunately I haven't taken photos of my limited produce. Although can I take a photo of something that hasn't been harvested yet?

We've got until the end of this month to submit whatever we feel appropriate Plocket (if I have correctly interpretted OMs communication ) I don't think it will matter if the 'produce' hasn't been cut or harvested just as long as it is identifiable (not much point in taking a piccie of potato tops : It doesn't have to be veg, it can be fruit or flowers just as long as you are the grower. I like the idea of a 'virtual' village show - and we all get to be judges ;D x Tig

Well that's very generous of you Biggles, and I'd love to have Rebecca in the garden. I could post endless pictures of my clematis but they aren't cut and arranged, which is what Shows usually have isn't it?
I can't wait to see the Show - it will be lovely to see everyone's produce together.

P. - I think I've already said in one of the intros that recognising not everyone will want to cut specimens, pics of something growing will be accepted - but I see you're specialising in cakes... could you make it two cakes and maybe find a pic of a clem, somewhere? OM.

Plocket--thats good--because no-one would know it is your Clematis you are submitting--It could be anyones photograph of their Clematis because members wont know who has submitted what. ;D and you might just win that "Rebecca" to add to your collection-
