Is it only me that just CANNOT get my head around Sudoku? Everyone else, inc my OH, is addicted to it, but I have tried and tried to do these puzzles, and I can't do them I'm not a thicky (honest!), but maths and numbers has never been my forte. I even get stuck on the little 6 number one in my TV mag! I just get a mental block. And the thought of spending hours on a really hard one like my OH does fills me with horror!! Please tell me it's not just me

Guess who else does Sudoku everyday, and has a PC version to complete last thing at night to clear the brain before bedtime? ;D I do like numbers though, and I don't think you are at all thick NO, horses for courses etc x Tig

I'm afraid that I have no interest in Sudoku so have not really attempted to do them. On the other hand you can't beat a good cryptic crossword.

I LOVE sudoku and try to do at least two puzzles a day (brain training!). Unfortunately I can't do difficult puzzles, and I won't spend ages poring over a problem one. Like you NO I have serious difficulties with numbers - I had special maths lessons at school because I was so naff at sums. I'm still hopless and switch off when mathmatical problems confront me. I was taught how to do sudoku by a 7 year old (my friend's son). He explained it beautifully but the most important thing he said was to forget that it was numbers - he said I had to look for patterns. In fact he does sudoku puzzles using musical notes and other symbols - he's a clever lad. Anyway, since his lesson about a year ago I've really come to enjoy doing sudoku even if I'm not particularly good I wouldn't bother if you don't want to. I think it's something you either enjoy or you don't. And you can keep your cryptic crosswords too!!! ;D

Me too! Numbers mean nothing to me. It's a source of great amusment to my family that I ended up in the financial services industry. Luckily what I now do has very little to do with numbers ;D Crosswords on the other hand ...

You cant beat a Cryptic crossword puzzle-Our morning paper has a very good one and the Compiler changes every so often so you dont get used to the way 'their' mind is working--

I really enjoy Sudoku's (I think they are good brain training too Plocket) but I was dreadful at maths at school and glaze over even now if I get presented with any maths that looks too complicated. Fortunately I am ok with maths work up to Year 6! ;D

Shouldn't the title be SUDOKU NO-can't-do?
They wouldn't be any fun if you could do them just like that now would they? ;D

I used to do loads of sudoku but find it a bit boring now, if it's easy it's boring and if it's too hard it's very boring! I do Killer sudoku now and love doing them. I must do anywhere between 3 and 10 a day, depending on how difficult they are!
