I bought this plant last November and it looked like this  And this October it still has it leaves on with the purple berries. I thought it only produced the berries on bare stems  |

Least you have the berries! Mine is still shy.  I'm sure those leaves will be off over the next couple of weeks anyway. Great colour eh!!!  |

PJ - I think that it is normal for them to get the berries whilst the leaves are still on - mine certainly did. The leaves seemed to fall off very quickly and the berries remained a long time.
Just why there were no leaves on it when you bought it, I have no idea - perhaps someone pulled them all off to sell the plant better....

I reckon by the looks of the photo the GC had pruned it PJ, maybe as it would have been loosing it's leaves they thought it would be tidier looking for sale purposes, just a thought  |
