This is a quick and easy recipe, which is absolutely delicious. And you can add extra stuff that you like AND I've made it "gluten free" in the past by using gluten free biscuits.
4oz unsalted butter 2 tablespoons golden syrup 6oz dark chocolate (don't be tempted to use milk chocolate!) 8oz sweet biscuits (like digestive or rich tea) 1oz raisins 2oz chopped glace cherries
Gently heat the butter and golden syrup in a pan to melt, then simmer for 1 minute. Add the chocolate and melt gently. Meanwhile crush the biscuits in a plastic bag and add with the remaining ingredients. Remove from the heat and press the mixture into a greased 7in baking tin. Cool then refridgerate overnight.
This keeps well in the fridge.

I would have thought that would be fine Tig. Unless you buy a packet of unsalted butter especially and make double the recipe!!! ;D
