not quite sure where to put this one. living in an old stone house I always have problems keeping my salt dry in the kitchen. O.H seems to have solved it. he noticed that cardboard never got damp in the fridge and tried the salt in there . result success. no more damp salt

Good idea Beanie - I put a few grains of rice in my salt pots (shakers) and that works well too.

I've tried the rice and couldn't get it to work, also tried keeping it on top of the radiator but kitty knocked it off too many times

i put mine in the bottom of the oven once ;D ;D ;D. only once mind you ;D. i hope you threw some over your shoulder beanie.
