My latest aquisition came all the way from South Africa. She's a Comrades Marathon bear bought by the FD for me after he finished the race. At the moment, she's in the wardrobe with Beddy Bear whose a heat up in the microwave bear I had to buy the year before last when the cottage we'd rented over Christmas turned out to be less than warm. I also have Flora bunny who was bought by my Mum when I ran my first London marathon. Then there's Hamish the camel who came back from Tunisia with my brother and a friend and Huw my Welsh dragon. Not many then ;D

Wonder if any of the boys on the Board still have their teddies ? Spru ? I had two teddies and a panda although the panda was my favourite. I still have all three although only big teddy (christened Thomas) is still downstairs. The other two are in semi-retirement in the loft! ;D Thomas is still fairly presentable so is on display on a bookcase (how sad is that?) I'll try to post a photo later on.

I don't have my childhood teddy, my Mother would have thrown that out years ago, she wasn't the kind who kept things for sentimental reasons ( not like you, Biggles). But I have some recent acquisitions which I'll post a photo of. It's rather sweet that you still have your toys Spru, but I wouldn't mention it down the pub ;D

"It's rather sweet that you still have your toys Spru, but I wouldn't mention it down the pub" I must be a sentimental hoarder Wee--I have kept all sorts of sentimental things such as--School Reports/ Drawings and Cards made for Mum/Bag of Plastic Soldiers/Daughter's first Baby Doll etc.etc. I couldn't bear to throw them out--

Me too...I have 2 suitcases full of letters OH and I wrote each other when he was working abroad, we'll have to leave strict instructions that they be burnt when we pass away...I've also kept the first cardigan my Mum knitted for our eldest son...teeny it is...
I still have Benjamin Bear and Robert Bear..the latter was a gift when I was born from my Granny... I love toys too...I have a Buzz Lightyear of my very own. Too many teddies to count...when our son came back home last year to live lots of my teddies got shoved into the loft, and most are still up there. I'll take a photo of the rest of them tomorrow maybe. ;D
...and then there's my star trek stuff...phasers, tricorder, communicators and 2 uniforms (had a fancy dress party on my 40th) and the Dalek collection...sonic screwdriver....scarf and tardis..

I never had a teddy as a child I had a Golly - I know these days it is not PC but I loved him to bits, he even was admitted to hospital with me when I had my tonsils out aged 5 I have bought my kids and grandkids teddy bears - I have no idea if they will have kept them though I got a furry rabbit when I retired - it is one you can stick your hand in - bit like a large glove puppet ;D x Tig

I didn't have a teddy as a little girl but I had a rag-doll that my mum made for me while she was pregnant. I've still got her but she really should go in the bin because she's grim now. I have a few teddies but most have been claimed by LP. She hasn't got hold of my collection of miniature teddies though - I'll try and take a picture when I get a moment. And I'm pleased to announce that Clemmy has escaped from LP's room - much to her disappointment

I think there's 36 in the cabinet but one is china, a couple are buttons, and then there's 4 more on top of the cabinet. The collection started about 20 years ago. The two little black cats are Victorian cracker prizes (mum gave them to me when I went into labour with LP for good luck), and there's other tiny things in there too. It's a good place to keep tiny things!
