I didn't actually get to a display this year...  The best one was actualy on the 5th, it started at 6.30pm and I had to work Maybe next year.. |

My sparkler photos turned out ok but the ones of fireworks were fairly naff! ;D

Izzy sat in the window facinated by a firework display down the road, only a very loud bang got him down from the windowsill.

Yes but they ain't as good as yours! How does Fickle cope with fireworks? My dog is a complete wreck We did some in the garden and she came and stood on the patio with the rest of us. She was fine, even with the rockets. However, she used to be a gun dog and is used to loud bangs & bright flashes so it was no bother at all for her. The local display (where I took these pics) is about a 1 minute walk from my house. We left her at home and she was absolutely fine, even though it sounded like WW3 had broken out at one point. I love 'em all FA ;D No displays that near to us - we could see some in the distance through the upstairs windows - but the rain outside made taking photos a no-no - glad you shared yours though  x Tig |

My camera has a good "fireworks" setting on the "scene" button. It holds the shutter open for 2 seconds so you get the effects of the streaks etc. I really like taking them but I still don't think they're as nice as last year's ones.

You're right, it was a year ago that I hurt my ankle (it's still not right, y'know) but that was the 2nd display I was going to see. Are there not two Threads now for Fireworks - wonder if Spru can merge them  My dogs are fine with the fireworks - they never bother with them - when my Afghan was a puppy the breeder leaves a TV on so all the noises of the outside world ie cars revving, people screaming, bangs, crashes, etc etc are heard by them when they are babies I always thought this a good idea |
