I received a text message at the weekend along the lines of:
URGENT ring this number ......... international delivery parcel for delivery tomorrow.
Needless to say, I didn't ring the number, which appeared to be an international one. After searching on google, it appears other people are receiving this text messages too and it is a scam, along the lines of one a few years ago with bogus cards being put through the post.

Thanks for the nod Bagpuss How do they get your number? If I got a text saying that I wouldn't respond, apart from family, a few close friends and acquaintances no-one has my mobile number! x Tig

I think all they do is randomly dial numbers and hope that someone receives them. All very irritating
