heya, new to some, some may know me...
anyway, just a quick question, I have been trying to attach pics from my pc to photobucket. I'm an occasional attacher. But it's not letting me. Can anyone tell me if there's been some new thingie that I'm missing. It says upload and I select the image in jpg format. Then it goes back to the main PB screen and nothing happens. I'm mystified....
many thanks

I had a prob BS a while ago and it gives you a choice to upload with new Uploader or old Uploader - I chose the old one as that is what I was used to Try that

If you upload on the "new" uploader it says "Done" and then you cant see the image anywhere so it is lying isnt it

I have used the new uploader from time to time but it seems very prone to glitches so if I have only one or two images to deal with I tend to use the old uploader to save time.
On the other hand the new uploader is very efficient (when it's working) if you want to upload multiple images.

I've used the new uploader quite a bit. It's easier and quicker to select images but the actual upload takes an absolute age <yawnsmiley> and it's s'posed to be fast

I use the bulk uploader even for just a couple of pics. It's easier to pick out the ones you want and pretty fast

Good ole Photobucket. I too had probs as the new up;oader only allowed for one pic per upload and refused to accept multiple. It alsois slower. I still go for old uploader. There is another new thingy too. Instead of the pics having the links in solid underneath I now have to let the cursor rest on the pic. It then opens a drawer where I have to scroll down real carefull and select the bit for copying. Sometimes it glitches and opens the pic underneath instead Oh well its a free horse but at times I want to slap its butt.

If you go into your Link Options - either by clicking on the Link Option by a pic or in the Account Options you will see at the bottom this: Show links in my albums: always / only on mouseover Click always instead of only on mouseover and it will be as it was before. I don't use Photobucket or anything like that, I prefer to add any photo to my own rented webspace and put a link to that. It then remains available unless I remove it, not like PB which removes it and makes a nonsense of your posts.

As far as I am aware PB doesn't remove any images at all - that is the sole option of the account holder. Moving or deleting images does break the link but I agree it makes a nonsense of posts. RF

I had problems last weekend with PB but somehow managed to get it sorted. I've never found that they remove my pictures.

I always use the old uploader as I like it better than the new one.
