We are all on this board because of a shared passion - gardening Secret Santa can be a nightmare in a modern office (well it was for me!) It means everyone pulls a name out of a hat and has to buy that person a present for a fixed amount - it is a challenge if you don't know the person very well, and what you get in return can be quite useless! So who wants to join the GWD Secret Santa extravaganza?? ;D This is how it works - you put yourself forward, to 'buy' a virtual present (no money is required as you 'gift' will be whatever you choose to virtually 'buy' for your secret Santa partner - you just post a photo of the item, or describe it, and leave a message to say why you thought they would like it ) If you fancy joining in just add your name to this thread before 14th December, I will randomly draw names out and pm members to let them know who they have to find a virtual gift for, the value of the item must not exceed £100, so you get to virtually spend more than you would in the real world ) I will start a new thread for members to post their gifts on .. good here innit - extra virtual prezzies courtesy of our mates! x Tig

Oh LNG, do you have to have websites to get pressies from? I ain't got any of them either! Can anyone help? I'd hate the person I will be "buying" for to be disappointed when all they get is a description of a wonderful pressie!!

I don't think you have to have a website to get piccies from - can't you just post a picture of a wrapped present (from this site) and then describe what you have got your person? It will be just as fun and I think the more people that join in will make it better

Ohhh prezzies galore - goody goody ;D When I know who I am 'buying' a present for I will try and think of a suitable gift for them (up to the maximum value of £100) and then google to find a good picture of the object (or as Plocket suggests a wrapped gift box), and I will save the photo by right clicking on it, selecting 'Save picture as' and adding it to the My Pictures folder on my PC, I will then upload it to Photobucket ready to post .. or if I can't find a picture I will describe the present, or depending on who I get I may compose a poem for them as my gift
