I think your right RF, I didn't keep the label, but thats rings a bell, apparently they need very good drainage, did you plant your outside ? maybe they got tooo wet, these are in an old hanging basket, some one said they rot quicker then the other varieties, so Maybe they will return if I keep them on the dry side. fingers crossed I think they are really pretty.

Mmmh - I wonder if they have all rotted, they were all outside...I will certainly get some more and take your tip and keep them dryer.

Lovely pics everyone. My own are out in full now too, they're so dainty some of them. I've brought in some of my multiheaded ones that got blown over in the winds, the smell is wonderful.

RF, I read an article once that said '' plant them under a tree, and the tree roots will take most of the moisture '' I wonder if that would help you .

Gosh Jas, aren't you good and organised..knowing the names of the varieties I HATE labels in gardens, always mean to make a note of varieties and never do , and the memory isn't what it was . I must be organised if/when I start with my alstroes ;D

It's fun to see what we liked on our our visit flowering in our own garden Auricula. I'm quite surprised by some of the daffs I chose!
I've got soggy, dirty bits of paper with my notes on pegged up in the growhouse and the shed! ;D
