I wish I'd taken a better picture LG - I had the camera on the wrong setting. It's not as though I can just go back and take another one so I am cross with myself! I have never seen a daffodil as small in this country.

You lot are lucky - my daffs are only about an inch high and when we went to FIL'S which is about an hour away further south and normally a couple of weeks in front of us, garden wise, his are only about 3 inches...
I have got a couple of snowdrops out though...

In The Telegraph gardening section (Saturday) Sarah Raven visited Great Dixter Garden in East Sussex and said that they had noticed that everything was 3 weeks behind - oh well, we get to enjoy it for longer when it does all come out I suppose.

Oh blimey - I always reckon that we are a good two weeks behind the UK - does that mean that I have another 5 weeks to wait for everything to come through...ooooo nooooo!!

I prefer the diddy ones although I have a vase full of daffs in the lounge at the moment (normal ones) and they have a beautiful scent.

I prefer the diddy ones too - although there are some stunning taller daffodils as well. Those little daffodils look really dainty Tig.

Ive had Daffs out since the dreaded snow in early Feb. I think they are a February flowering variety but lovely done the less. Most of my others are nearly there. The tubs have got good heads and ready to open soon and the ones in the borders have got another 2/3 weeks i reckon.

Those are lovely Jasmine I've got quite a few big daffs in bloom now but also quite a few have taken a battering with the storm at the weekend and are bedraggled looking. Still it's nice to see the bright yellow in the garden.

I know just what you mean LG. We often go away at Easter and if it is an early Easter it is fantastic to come back to all the daffodils open and dancing in the breeze and the green just bursting open on the trees.

I spotted this trio in the front garden this morning, bit taller than the tete a tete, but not tall enough to blow over at the moment ... x Tig

Tig those are lovely, what is it about daffodils that always makes me smile I wonder. Is it mostly that when we se them we know winter is over.

Lovely picture Tig, there is a touch of lime green in the yellow of Rip Van Winkle - mine aren't out yet. Love your daffodil pot Barbara. i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/smiley.gif These are Jetfire ...and these are a few that I dug up last year to avoid a take over on the rockery and planted in a space at the bottom of the garden because I had to to something with them.

Mine have tiny little labels so I can remember Tig - or they get put on a sort of plan. I am verging on obsessed with my narcissus/daffodils! I already have a long list of bulbs to track down in August.
