I hadn't realised that Santa was an Americanism. I do tend to say Santa these days and thinking back I don't recall much mention of Father Christmas.

Father Christmas here too. Someone has voted for an "other". I'd really like to know what that is. Whatever could they call him ;D

Saint Nicholas ? Isn't he the guy we have on december 5th? Or Sinterklaas as we call him. If he is he can't be an alternative for Father Christmas as he is a different bloke. But if you let him in I could add Djesjt Marosh, father frost to your list. He also wears a red suit with white trimmings and does a lot of HO HO HO Hooooo ;D Or would that be too Russian for you And no I did not vote but Djesjt Marosh could be one of the Other.
