According to the Alaska dept. of fish and game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer, male deer drop theirs at the beginning of winter, usually late november, female deer keep theirs 'till after they give birth in the spring, therefore according to every historical rendition about santas reindeer every single one of them has to be a girl. We should have known,ONLY womenwould be able to drag a fat arsed man in a red suit all round the world, in one night , and not get lost.

Yes, but at least we will stop and ask! Men just keep on driving because stopping and asking for directions is admitting you are lost! ;D

Ah you are admitting to needing a woman to do the job for you even when you feel she is inadequate. Interesting ;D

Sat Nav is the answer - unless of course you drive a 10 tonne truck - then it probably isn't! This lovely calm lady tells you where to go and if you make a mistake she doesn't bellow at you she plots you a new route and she doesn't throw the map at you and demand to know where we are. Give us a bit of a clue - what page are we on? ;D All men should have been given Sat Nav for Christmas! ;D

I wouldnt want sat nav,i enjoy plotting my own route on a map before i leave, then i write the road numbers down on paper, and stick it on the dash,so i can just glance at it while i drive along. Dutchy,im not saying I need a woman to read a map,but a lot of men do,and thats how they get lost ;D

There are a few roads round here that say "Do not use Sat Nav" am not sure why I havent got one I would find it a total intrusion - like having a Dalek on board Turn left, turn left Easy to drive from town to town but when looking for a pub down the smallest lanes in Britain and locating the exact village isnt always easy round here ;D

Sat nav is not bad at all Jenny. It took us over some very lovely roads but I do always keep the maps at hand as I must be the one exception that can find places better than a sat nav at times Mind you the Satnav does not say turn left, turn left. It says it only once and then asks you to turn around the next road when you calmly drive past the suggestion. It keeps telling you to turn back untill it finds a better solution. We make fun out of confusing the satnav.... how sad is that eh?

So do we Dutchy - but there isn't much fun in confusing something that just calmly sorts itself out I suppose! ;D Oh, and OH will be driving along and when she says where to go - he says - well, I wouldn't go that way. Well, switch it off and go your way then!

Sat Navs are prone to go wrong - badly wrong GF and OH on way to important dinner in Manchester at the Midland Hotel. They carefully entered the info including post code As they dont know the City at all they relied on Sat to get them there on time It took them to the Midland Hotel in DROYLSDEN - a town about 30 mins outside Manchester City centre - they did get there eventually - having to ask people along the way - just in time for the after dinner speeches (Sorry to highjack this thread ;D )

;D You do have to enter the town as well Jen. Besides isn't a Satnav a modern variety of Reindeer-nose? Ditto on the OH Jasmine ;D

They did enter all the info including Manchester but as Droylsden is a part of Manchester it got it wrong - her OH been using this Sat Nav for a while too
She only goes out once a year to a big event and had even bought a new frock for the occasion - I just felt so so sorry for her
One time I would have been able to drive straight there FB without stopping to ask anyone ;D

There are a few roads round here that say "Do not use Sat Nav" am not sure why It's because lorry drivers who don't know where they're going often use sat nav to direct them and it sometimes takes them down roads that are unsuitable (low bridges, narrow lanes etc). On our local news a while ago, there was a story of a taxi driver who followed his sat nav and ended up driving down a stream....... FA x
