If you do the Clary Andy, plant it somewhere where you won't brush up against it. I think it stinks!! ;D

Good question Steve - it is certainly time to start thinking about it.
My list is basically the same as last year - peppers, chillies, toms, spuds, beans, onions etc and all in containers. I have garlic on the go as well.
I am doing Mimosa for the first time and I have just sown those. I have a 4 year old Mimosa plant living out the winter in the cellar but it doesn't seem to want to flower and the ones I have sown are supposed to flower in one year and then get binned.
Has anyone got any ideas?

I have seen a few things in my books that I would like to try, but whether I can get hold of any seeds is another matter Although looking at my seed lists, maybe not! I must use what I already have

Stevemc, I have Rudbekia Rusti Dwarf to sow for the first time this year too. Also new for me will be Eryngium Alpinum Superbum both given to me from Tig. ;D I think they'd both look good in containers. I'll also be trying Bergamont Panorama Mixed and Cerinthe Major Purpuranscens, along with my many other seeds. Following the success of my Dahalia last year I'll be trying the Bishops Children. Not exactly a trial but something new really.

Steve up a pergola, Cobea Scandens is a great anual, flowers from late summer into frost time. Or orange try Quamoclit lovely feathery one that. Any SP will get you up to Honeysuckle can be grown from seed but takes a little more time than one year. As for doing something myself I will be growing chilies including the purple LiliaLazuli from Rosefriend. Various veg, Kohlrabi, Cavolo Nero, letuces, beetroot, beans, peas, aubergine, toms, onions, carots and more. Herbs for the kitchen, Parsley, dille, maybe others. Cobea and Quamoclit and SP. I have a small flowered yellow SP cost me a rib for only 15 seeds but next year I will be spreading it if you like it. Zinnia again but now a lower growing variety ( if any one wants the taller ones PM me for seeds ) Escholzia the maroon with silver one, Pot marigold, Love in a Mist, Dahlia as I seem to have lost loads of tubers. Sunflowers ofcourse. Help The list goes on and I still think hm .....Wouldn't Cerinthe be nice I am sooooo lost Thank Gardens

Quamoclit looks good Dutchy.i recently relieved 2 clems from B+Q for 2 euro, i have 2 honeysuckle already in the garden one which is evergreen and grows well also clem armandii which is in the wrong place so is a bit of a thug. I was also thinking of a grape vine but like the climbing rose im unsure which one LNG i will look out for some Rudbekia Rusti Dwarf we can trial togeather

Grape vine can be butch but then so can some climbing roses. Maybe not use a rambler as they go all over ( hence the name I assume)

I'm trying Bishop of Llandaff dahlia from seed this year...and a fuchsia (Exorticata) with edible fruits. Is there a GW seed trial of a particular plant? If so I'll prolly join in....
