I've just gone into my Photobucket and if you right click on any photo it gives you an option to Print Or Save As to your Desktop and print from that

It may depend on what size you saved it as in photobucket originally Barbara I upload mine in the 640 x 480 (large) mode, which seems OK for the board. I can print from pb, just have to enhance my printer settings to Best in the printer preferences to get a decent result, but it is slow! x Tig

Where did the photo come from originally ? If you took it, then have you not got the original saved somewhere ? If not, did someone else take it ? Can they email it to you and then you can save to your PC and then print off as normal.

well, my son took it, and then went home to telford, he's the one in the RAF, I gave him my PB details and he put it in there, he says it' tooo big to e-mail, and thats what I think is causing the problem with printing, I managed to print a 8X 5 pic. but when I try to go bigger it just looks like stickle bricks. I dont understand it so next time I visit him I will get a copy, but its so frustrating not knowing what I'm doing wrong.

Barbara, as has already been mentioned, you will most likely find that your Photobucket account defaults to preset image dimensions. For instance I have mine set to 640 x 480 pixels as that is the optimum size for posting on forums. 640 x 480 pixels roughly approximates to a 6" x 4" hard copy photo, and similarly 800 x 600 pixels equates to 8" x 6" physical dimensions. If you have managed to print out a satisfactory 8" x 5" image, it is likely that your Photobucket default size is 800 x 600 pixels. The stickle-bricks effect that you mentioned is actually called pixelation and occurs when you try to print out an image which is larger than its original dimensions, as with this photo of yours truly... . The original photo was 509 x 436 pixels, but for the sake of this example, I have exaggerated the effect by first reducing the image to 10 per cent of its original size and then printing it as a 503 x 429 pixels image. If your son still has the original image on his PC, and bearing in mind the email situation, Photobucket is not the best solution. The best bet would be to open a free account with Media Fire... www.mediafire.com/The file size limit is a fairly massive 100Mb, which unless we are talking poster size should be more than enough for the photo in question. Ask your son to upload the photo to Media Fire and then all he needs to do is send you the download link (which can be done directly from the Media Fire site). Like this for instance..... www.mediafire.com/?ekattwm04jt (This is a link to a 2608 x 1952 pixels image - roughly A4 - and with a file size of 1.93Mb) Once you have downloaded the image from Media Fire, you can print it from your PC in the normal way.
