No - just a plain lidded tray with vents on top. It is quite warm in the front bedroom though, and it doesn't get left anywhere near the window overnight

Thanks Chuckles. I am getting a bit enthusiastic to say the least. But I must be careful, the temperatures are set to drop this evening, so I will hold off sowing anything for the moment.
I have invested in a thermometer. Brand new on ebay, casing made of pine - 99p! The postage was more at "1.99, but still a bargain. Could not find one in any GC or even Wilkinsons.

I got a couple of the minimum maximum thermometers from Wilkos for the GH and summer house.
Maybe you could get a length of bubble wrap for some extra protection from the cold PJ. When it forcasts minus temps just drape it over the top and tuck it in round the sides when needed. They say it gives a couple of extra degrees above whatever the temperature is.

;D Eager to get going eh? I think we all are but I just checked the longer term weather forecast and this week will be mild but next week will see the return of avarage frost ( down to minus 5 ) during the day time. No need to ask if the nights are going to be cold
