The flowers are so bright and striking Mick, you've obviously put a lot of time and effort into looking after them properly. Thanks for posting the pics.

I don't think I have enough knowledge to look after them properly, or good enough conditions for them. A chap I used to work with brought his entire collection into the office, because he said the conditions were better than he could provide at home My DIL has put a rather large one outside, and I think she may have abandoned it! I was very tempted to offer to give it a home, but haven't a clue what it would need to be happy? Yours all look in superb condition Mick.

Thought I'd post this picture of my Huernia zebrina flowering - I am SOOOO pleased! It's an amazing flower isn't it? I have a small but cherished collection of cacti and succulents now, most of them given to me by Mick, my cactus guru! I keep popping into the conservatory to look at it - dragging anyone who happens to be at home with me.... ;D

Orbea verrucosa - You really do have some weird and wonderful plants Mick. RF I agree with RF Mick, even without the flowers that is a beautiful plant. I haven't tried cacti for a number of years now. One that I had that I remember in particular was quite a large ball shaped cactus which produced the most enormous long trumpet shaped pale pink flowers - it was really quite amazing. Sadly, I don't really have the room for them where I live now.

WOW. I love the last one, those flowers are wild. I like the big bell shaped ones (that look like bottomless pits in the center) as well but those hairy ones just look soo good. I hope they do not smell too bad but they look as if they would like to. What a splendid collection you have there Mick.
