Have i missed it ? Haven't seen anything about pancake day this year and forgot all about it until someone mentioned it the other day.

nope...I just chuck it all in a bowl and beat it together until it's the right consistancy....
Plain flour
pinch of salt
2 eggs and milk

speaking of which does anyone have a good recipie for pancakes? I use 4oz plain flour, 3 eggs, 1/2 pt milk and a pinch of salt. Pancake mix is the same as i use for my Yorkshire puddings. So what will everyone be having on their pancakes tomorrow. Very traditional in chez Andy....lemon juice, sugar and maple syrup Can't wait |

Lemon juice and sugar. I can tell my tastebuds have changed though cos I used to absolutely plaster my pancakes in sugar, now I have a small sprinkle of it and that's it.
One thing I probably would try though is chocolate spread.

oooo you lot are rotten - I just mentioned that it was Shrove Tuesday in the UK to my OH and he said....."Pancakes" - right that's been sorted then - we are having pancakes tomorrow"!!

yummy, I'll be making them when I come home from work tomorrow evening pancakes and maple syrup.Do like them with lemon and sugar too ;D

I cheated and bought a just add milk shake it bottle batter and it was really good! So OH said anyway. I did banana, apricot, honey and apricot brandy filling with a dusting of icing sugar and not a single drop of any of it passed my lips!!

I love pancakes but we only ever seem to have them on Pancake Day! ;D I much prefer the unhealthy option with several large blobs of butter and sugar sprinkled on before rolling up. Second favourite would be freshly squeezed orange juice and sugar.  |
