Do all the plants from the family araceae weep? I only ask because I seem to remember that an anthurium I had for a while (given to my daughter) had droplets on the leaf margins, and somehow I now have a monstera! which I noticed tonight is also crying (and dropping tears on one of my paintings!) Is it just a natural thing, or am I not treating them right? x Tig

I think if I remember my biology classes it is all natural and is either transpiration (getting rid of excess fluid in the leaves) or guttation which is harmless as well, I think, but it can lead to a plant getting diseases.
Now as that is all I can remember, I don't supposed it has helped you in the slightest - I do have a mind full of useless information really.

RF is correct....it's all about respiration and transpiration and all that stuff i learnt about at college some 28 years ago and have now forgotten about.
Sometimes in the mornings, the floor of the conservatory is soaked where the bananas and gingers have been dripping all night !!!!
