It's the influence of ads that bothers me. The boys are forever singing/quoting bits out of ads and I am tired of hearing the Hastings Insurance company number being sung! And I can't stand the advert where the sheepdog gets shorn instead of the sheep - poor dog - how undignified. Think it is a Specsavers advert.

it is Jas...horrible ad. I love Alexander too NO. I hate all ads that shout at you, and the ones that advertise dating or chat lines that are always on cable TV. I usually go make tea when the ads come on.

I remember when I used to sit and watch a bit of afternoon telly with the boys before they started school and all the adverts were for loan consolidation and debt problems etc... and that annoyed me as they are obviously aimed at a target audience - young mums with money worries - and those sorts of loans are going to make it all 10 times worse.

I dont like the ad with the two kids and their malfunctioning eyebrows - freaky I also detest any advert for any internet bingo thing - why do they feel it necessary to shout - whats that all about ?? Adverts in general are crap really The free channels on sky are terrible for them and himself is always moaning about how quickly they come on and how long they are on for - he is turning into Victor Meldrew bless him ;D

Are you sure you havent got my hubby there KL. I can't stand the shouty ones either, but some are really clever and I often wonder who thinks them up, the one that turned my tummy was the one with the man going home down the big chute, I think its barclay-card. The best of all time has to be the cake car.

Totally agree with KL, every time those 2 children with the eyebrows come on I switch over.

I dont mind adds, except that they are getting longer and louder,it gives you a chance to go to the loo,get some eats and drinks, without missing the prog,it is also good for you to strech your legs now and again.

I don't watch TV and therefore don't see the ads (thank goodness) but I can hear them! I like the Co-op one as you get to hear almost all of Blowing in the Wind! (I HEAR they've shortened it a bit now as we've all got used to it and it must've cost a fortune to have such a long ad.)

I am the advertisers worst nightmare in as much as I don't normally notice adverts, either on TV or online. However, I appear to be the odd one out as I think that the Cadbury's ad with the children's eyebrows 'dancng' to the music is very good indeed. I've even watched it on YouTube... ;D

I think they're freaky...
The advert I do like (besides Aleksandr the meerkat) is the T Mobile one.

Sheilas bl@@dy Wheels insurance drives me bonkers - I now press the mute button as soon as I see pink! Don't like the on with that shouting man dressed in an odd caped satin thing, for Double Glazing, the 'buy one you get one free' - doesn't inspire me with confidence about the product! I mentally switch off for most of them, unless I like the music, 'here come the girls' for example x Tig

There's one for a car dealership in South Wales (which appears on our adverts cos South Wales is really near us innit... ) where there's a guy putting on a stupid voice. It riles me so much I actually wrote an email of complaint to the company saying it sounded like they were taking the p*ss out of the way deaf people talk. I think he's trying to sound a bit like Homer Simpson but fails miserably. They replied saying that people down there love the guy doing the voice and he's a local celebrity... I nearly fell of my chair laughing wondering how inbred the people in their local area were if they think that voice is great.

Yes the Meerkat one. I do hate that especially the phoney German accent. I've even checked to see if they had registered the domain CompareTheMeerkat.com, but sadly they had already covered that option otherwise I was tempted to register that myself!
