I have been looking for the seeds for the Para Cress, Toothache Plant, Eyeball Plant (Spilanthes oleracea). and although I still haven't found them, I came across these...have any of you grown them - I have never seen them before?? Mexican Tarragon - Tagetes Lucida www.floridata.com/ref/T/tage_luc.cfmand Muscatel sage Santorini - Salvia sclarea The Muscatel sage is flowering in light rose/white with tall blossoms. Touch the leafes and it will give you a warm, intensive sweet-spicy smell. Plant it into balconychest, between herb and flowers in the Garden. It Prefers sunny places. RF

I was given Salvia sclarea and it grew huge at MssK. How you are supposed to fit that bi-anual in a balconychest I don't know. It did well even though it was in half shade. If the other one is a Tagetes it should behave like one so it should be easy. Have fun with them Rosefriend

Apologies, I forgot all about this thread. They were alright as a novelty but from memory they didn't smell very nice and then the slugs got them

Oooooer that Eyeball plant looks a bit weird RF, did you manage to get any going. From what Beanie said it sounds like they were best left for the slugs ;D

I think they will do when they get their "pupils" Missy - I am just plucking up enough courage to eat a couple of the leaves...
"The foliage has an unconventional, pleasant to salty flavour that eventually leaves a numb feeling in the mouth. It may have received the common name of toothache plant because of its use as a local anaesthetic for gums and teeth."
Mind you I suppose I could eat a mouthful before I go to the dentists next time and not have to have any injections!!
