Oh Auricula, that's not very nice to come home to is it! I can't really advise you. If you're not going away next winter and/or can take some precautions to protect the plants why not replace at least some like for like. Don't give up on the Fuchsias yet. They may well shoot from the base but may not do it 'til April or May!! PS. I hope you had a brilliant Holiday. You will be posting some pics won't you?

Welcome back - hope you have lots of holiday snaps to post ;D I would say the same with the cordylines Auricula, don't oink them out, they should resprout from the bottom (fingers crossed). You may not need to replace as much as you think, for most of us further North things are used to the cooler winters, and I am always amazed that things I think I have lost suddenly burst back into life once the weather warms up a bit.. x Tig

Welcome home Auricula hope you had a wonderful holiday. As the others have said dont throw the plants out just yet, I had 2 Fuchsias which spent 2008 in the CF as there was no sign of growth till July If you like the plants that you had then replace them with the same if not you have a blank canvas to play with.

I wouldn't be too hasty Auricula, as others have said plants do suddenly burst back into life. Unless you are looking for an excuse to buy some different plants ;D

Thanks everyone - I'll try to be patient!! I have enough tidying up/weeding/potting on/mulching to be going on with, but at least it distracts me from a months post holiday ironing!! I had a brilliant holiday, thanks - such a difference in culture, and loads of lovely plants ;D
