Hlo...a little problem...maybe not. Last year I grew a lovely agastache from seed. Golden Jubilee, it's a luscious hardy herbaceous perennial with lime green leaves and columns of lilac coloured flowers. I was rooting about in the garden today and noticed that the new growth on the agastache is coming up a purply-red colour. The foliage on the juvenile plants last year was lime green. They're deffo the agastache because they have the right fragrance (and I had the foresight to label the plant so I'd know where it was after the folige died back in the autumn) I know that some growth starts out red...the peony for example, is pushing up reddish buds as it wakes up...but the agastache looks quite peculiar with the v small purply leaves about the base of last years few twiggy bits left in the ground....is it normal? thermal shock ? or is it dead ?

I misread the thread name and thought you had a moustache problem at first Cheery ;D
I have several different types of agastache (not Golden Jubilee though) and they all start to come through looking purplish, a bit like the young leaves on aquilegia and dicentra - so it may be normal for them (I hope so!)

I haven't the same as yours Cheery but mine do sometimes have slightly different coloured leaves at first, but they still keep coming back year after year/
