Are you doing something funny to raise money? LP's school are having a "Mad Hair Day" so after much discussion and a bit of shopping we got up at 6.45am and after an early breakfast started work on her hair. Basically I plaited loads of coloured pipecleaners into her hair then sprayed it red(ish), and I thought it looked fab. However, on the way to school so many kids were looking (and amiring) that LP felt a bit self conscious. I had to point out to her that it was because her hair-do was so fantastic. Here's a photo, but I've had to blank out her face because OH doesn't want her seen online

Well I reckon it's fantastic too, tell her Aunty Chuckles thinks it's I bet there were some envious friends at school. Us childless old soles miss out on this sort of stuff so thanks for sharing P

I don't know about envious friends but there were lots of admiring ones! It was wonderful to see all the coloured heads today, and although most of them were red every single child had great fun. Come on then - anyone else done or doing anything? One of the lads behind the bar at our local is having his chest waxed! Drinkers can bid for a strip of wax and do it themselves!!! It makes my eyes water just thinking about it

TBO I don't know of anything happening locally either, odd place where I live folks tend to keep themselves to themselves. The village school has more than likely done something though

That was a great job P (and I think OH is right for not wanting her photo on the web)
Sainsburys was a laugh today - they had all made an effort with red wigs, sprayed hair and fancy dress. My Grandson paid £1 to go to school in MUFTI (non-uniform), and I bought my red nose, but won't be posting a photo ;D
