As you probably know I am not a big user of mobile phones and mine is firmly off more often than not, but after making several calls recently I flicked it on this morning to check my credit, and was quite surprised to hear Terry Wogan's voice. Now, since Mr Wogan does not know my phone number I was rather puzzled, and even more so when I realised that I was listening to his Radio 2 show! Of course this wouldn't be puzzling at all if my phone also doubled as a radio but I don't like these silly extra knick-knacks on phones and it is lucky to double as a phone! i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/grin.gif Anyhow, some quick online research has revealed that this is known as the 'Palonier effect' after little known Belgian scientist Albert Palonier. It's something to do with the alignment of the Earth and Moon and certain other planets today and the effect is very short lived, only usually happening once a year. I just wondered if anyone else had noticed this.

Yes that's just what I thought AL. I wonder if someone is having a little joke at my expense, like that recent brouhaha over the BBC taking over people's computers to prove that they were at risk from hackers. No doubt had I listened a little longer to Mr. Wogan he might have spilled the beans.

Yes indeed it is and I'm supposed to come clean now aren't I since it's 12 noon. i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/wink.gif As some people may have spotted, Palonier is an anagram of April One, and the whole thing was made up. I just thought I would play the fool on the second post to see if I could still catch anyone out.

Fraid not Spru!
Last year my OH's mum was happily telling us about this report she'd seen on the news about cows producing flavoured milk depending on what they were fed. OH and I were like "eh?!" and she's telling us again, swearing she saw it on the news etc.
I asked her when exactly she saw this report on the news and was it on 1st April? After a brief pause she realised it was. Bless.

Very Clever Spruance-- I was nearly 'taken in' when I realised it was April 1st--Go to the Top of the Class--Bigs
