I've just had a letter come through to say I've had my camera 2 years and the warranty is about to expire, it is offering an extended warranty of 2yrs for £39 or 3yrs for £47. As the camera was just over £300 it seems a small amount to pay for the extra warranty.
This is the deal from Mastercare
Unlimited FREE repairs or FREE replacement of your Digital Camera if it can't be fixed - with Mastercare Coverplan
It does cover things like "Breakdown caused by mishaps "
Just wondered if anyone else had anything covered with Mastercare and had any problems with them, I don't usually bother with these things tbo but it didn't seem a bad price to me.

I've not had anything with them Chuckles so I can't comment on whether they're any good.
It does seem like a reasonable deal but as with all these things, read the small print very carefully to make sure you're getting what you think you're getting !

That sounds ok chuckles, thing is, you will kick yourself if you don't take it out, and the camera breaks.

What you have to ask yourself is how likely is it that the camera will breakdown Chuckles. I know cameras are more complicated these days - i.e. more things to go wrong - but I had a Pentax ME Super SLR camera for 20 years from 1982 and had no problems whatsoever, although when it finally packed up (on holiday in 2002) it was cheaper to get a new one.
Also bear in mind that if you simply lose your camera, or heaven forbid it's stolen, you could probably claim on your house contents insurance.
