This just grew in a 'cauldron' container - I noticed it a couple of years ago, then last year it took over, and this year I decided I had better put it in a better pot, but as I have no idea what it might be or whether to keep it I am hoping someone might recognise it .. Closer view of the leaves It must flower otherwise it couldn't have grown? Any ideas? x Tig

It's leaves are a bit furry Ruthie - I have looked around in neighbouring gardens and can't see anything similar When it flowers it may be more easily identifiable ..

You are as bad as me Tig for potting on unknown waifs and strays ;D
Looks very healthy and happy whatever it is, time will tell I guess.

I could have a 'waifs and strays' nursery Chuckles - I'm hopeless at pulling and culling

The funny thing is that I have a very similar self sown sapling growing in a tub behind my GH. I wondered if it originated in the wild bird seed mix.
