I caught a prog on TV last night called "I've Never Seen Star Wars", in which famous people have to watch and talk about a film that everybody has seen, except them. Also listen to unknown (to them) music, and well known books. It was Esther Rantzen, who had never see Alien. Quite funny when she started to talk about the Alien coming out of John Hurt's stomach, and said "Ooops, I don't want to spoil it for anyone!" It set me thinking about my own "everybody's seen that" films, and I came up with, Gone With The Wind The Wizard of Oz The Sound of Music Titanic (the Kate Winslet one) And I have never seen Star Wars! i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd161/GWDAdmin1/Smilies/Default/wink.gif I was talking to someone the other day who had never seen The Magnificent Seven! Couldn't believe it! What about others out there?

I've not seen Gone with the Wind or any Harry Potter films (not read the books either). I've never watched Hitchcock's The Birds and until Christmas last year, I had never watched It's a Wonderful Life.
One film I have seen which I wish I had never watched as I found it really dull was Easy Rider.

I've never seen Gone with the Wind either, nor any of the Harry Potter films, nor Wonderful Life, nor any of the Alien films, nor Finding Nemo I have never seen The Champ either. I saw all of the Shrek ones last Christmas and was surprised that I actually enjoyed them. I am not a great film watcher

I'd never seen The Godfather trilogy until OH introduced me to them. We finally got round to watching the third one last week!!! I adore GWTW Ok. I've had to think about this carefully because OH and I watch loads of films - probably at least four a week. I haven't seen the following films: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Saving Private Ryan American Beauty Kill Bill Vol.2 (coz I didn't like the first one!) Scarface Apocalypse Now Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels Twelve Angry Men Full Metal Jacket Donnie Darko The French Lieutenants Woman (although we own it!) Casablanca Rear Window Platoon In fact I haven't seen many "old" films

I think I have probably seen all the old film 'classics' and a lot of 'B' films too. I have seen all the Harry Potters and most of the Sci-Fi and Horror films that are shown on telly. Last time I went to the cinema was years ago - The Full Monty I think it was So I don't see new films until they are televised or out on DVD. Never seen Titanic, it didn't appeal to me, and I don't watch modern day gangster type thrillers - tooo tense, bloody and violent! Watch most of the kids ones like Finding Nemo and that one with the little robot (you can tell I was glued to the screen ) with the Grandkids x Tig

Wall-E?
You've still got Bolt and Monsters vs Aliens to catch up with Tig!!! ;D
Titanic is a weird film (yes we've got it in our vast film collection) which I think you either love or loathe. Now I really don't like Leo di Caprio and the story is sentimental claptrap, but the effects are just stunning and it's worth watching just for the sheer drama.
I'm a sucker for easy going sci-fi/fantasy or weepies. I just adore stuff like Star Wars, Harry Potter, Matrix and that sort of thing. And GWTW, City of Angels, Truly Madly Deeply... Get me a box of tissues!!! ;D

The last film I watched. at the cinema since Titanic and Full Monty ............ dare I say it........... was Mama Mia , I know it was corney, but I really enjoyed it, it was so light hearted and full of sunshine. I don't watch many films really, prefer reading then I can imagine the charaters how I think they should be.

I heard so many good reports of Mama Mia that I bought the DVD. It was ok but I was a tad disappointed - probably because everyone had "bigged it up" so much.

I'm not a big film buff to be honest. There are thousands of films I've never seen, including many old "classics" such as
Gone with the wind Casablanca True Grit Easy Rider A Clockwork Orange The Good, The Bad & The Ugly Saturday Night Fever The Godfather (any of them)
There are thousands more I could mention too. I hardly ever watch a film.

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly is a classic - I love it ;D I started watching A Clockwork Orange with OH but didn't like it. Saturday Nigh Fever is funny coz it's so dated!!! I've not seen Easy Rider or True Grit either. We've started watching Spanish films for some reason. OH chooses them and sometimes they are pretty good. I struggle with subtitles though and feel that I'm missing the film You'll not get me watching Babe, although we have seen Charlotte's Web. And the children's animated films these days are excellent

Schinders List is another one I haven't seen.
I have to say though that Saving Private Ryan is brilliant.
