Blimey, that was a close run thing. I was listening until about 2.30 when it seemed as if Bell and Collingwood would see us through. Then I had to go out and missed all the excitement

We even had the radio on in the office so we could listen to the end. When the last ball was bowled and there was a huge roar, I thought we'd blown it but *phew*, it was just the barmy army celebrating another fantastic rearguard action by Onions. Funniest comment I heard afterwards was that Onions made the Proteas cry......... ;D ;D ;D

Really isn't good enough is it? It's all very well having the odd flamboyant innings, but you really need some consistency, and Pietersen doesn't seem to have it.

Has anyone been listening to Aggers' interview with the chairman of the ECB? He is very critical of the review system. And Geoff Boycott has just pointed out how many rubbish decisions are made by the umpires on the field. What is the answer do you think?
For what it is worth I have never liked the idea of decisions being overturned by technology. I think the umpires decision should be final. Yes there will be mistakes, but it would be strings and roundabouts. Better training for umpires perhaps.

Definitely more or better umpire training - some of the decisions today have been appalling. I have no quibble with using technology, but it has to be used consistently and the spirit of the use has to be right ( referrals only for howlers, not just because you think you might get away with it) Aggers is a real "traditionalist" but his interview was interesting. Looks like the Saffas might win by an innings if someone doesn't come good.....yes KP, that means you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
