My garden at work is absolutely gorgeous and the air is filled with so much scent. Personally, i don't think a plant is worth growing unless it's scented.
At present, i have
Corokia cottoneaster (smells of playdough/coconut type smell) Loads of choysias Loads of lilacs big clumps of Vibernum Burkwoodii and V. Carlesii Osmanthus delaveyi
Plus the rosemary and lavender are smelling devine too. just a few more weeks until the Philadelphus are out too.
Any scent around where you are ?

The apple blossom has a lovely gentle scent, we have magnolias, choisyas, rosemary and lavenders as well. Loads of wallflowers wafting their scents. Some of the daffs are quite nice smelling, double cheerfulness in particular, but they are starting to go over now. There is a biggish tree at the bottom of the garden covered in tiny white flowers that are heavily perfumed, I'm not sure what it is, but it grew where we originally planted an Eleagnus but has a much smaller leaf? The Jasminum Stephenense is in bud and that will smell nice when it flowers, the moths love it too.

Andy it looks as though we are going to have to get rid of our Actinidia kolomikta - room problems and even if I chop it back it can't stay there. I don't think there is much chance of me getting it out with enough roots to transplant it - how easy are they to take cuttings from??
As you say the scent is lovely - infact the whole plant is a dream.
