The flower. It is about 1cm (half inch) across The leaf. It is about 5 cms (2 inches) long and 1cm at the widest. Whole shrub is about 1 metre tall, flowering now, not scented. Annoying because I am sure I ought to know it. Tia.

Could it be a variety of Aronia. I'm not too sure because the height is given at about 10ft

Unfortunately, the graphics card is knackered on my puter so i get a very fuzzy view of it. Could it be an Exochordia ?....the young leaves look a little too "bronze" though so im not sure.

As soon as I saw the name, I remembered, it is probably a young Aronia melanocarpa....Chokeberry. Or it could be x prunifolia, not sure of the difference. Thanks. the reason I did not recognise it, is that the main one in the fruit cage has finished flowering and this one is in another part of the garden. We use the berries with Apple puree to make a very pleasant pie filling.
