Have you grown Tomatillo's before and if yes are they good??
Also I would like to grow a good tomato for grilling/cooking next next year - what do you recommend??

No , this is my first year for Tamatillo's and i'll keep you posted on them The late frosts have been bad here as well and you have it worse Penny. I have two of the beefsteaks and two of the Rainbow Blend - they are good looking plants - I just hope that the weather warms up a bit and the rain stops...thanks for the tip on grilling the beefsteak's. I've still managed to keep one Peter Pepper and one Bhut Jolokia - give me a shout if you want some seeds from those. Looking forward to hearing the news on your Tomatillo - I saw a plant but was undecided whether to try it. I decided I would and went back but they had all gone.. RF

How have things grown in the last week Penny?
We have been having cold nights which the toms and peppers are not keen on - flowers are dropping off.

That's a fantastic selection Penny! Do you grow them under cover? I was sent a selection of tomato seeds by my good friend Mickus the Cactus this Spring and I can recommend 'Black Krim' as a deliciously tasty hooogely big tomato for cooking, but just as scrummy sliced raw - lovely and juicy...
