Was at Parkhead the other week and one of the lads in the boozer had a large tattoo of Henrik Larrson on his arm, it was so life like, fantastic. Some tats you see are just so naff, and as for the home made ones arrrh!
Saw a cracker of a younger Madonna in London, it was on this guys whole back and looked just like a photo, Like a virgin era.

I have two piercings, but not very interesting ones unfortunately, but I got them done on my sixteenth birthday because I had been threatened with dire consequences if I got them done before I was sixteen!
Re the insertion of pearls thing mentioned earlier, working in a hospital we sometimes get true stories filtering through from A & E, and fairly recently we learned of a gentleman in his late fifties who had performed said operation on himself with little plastic beads from Hobbycraft and a Stanley knife! Perhaps unsurprisingly, the area concerned went terribly septic and he was extremely lucky to eventually leave the hospital in tact!!!

That firework story was funny, wasn't it. What an absolute muppet !
I once knew a guy who had a ring inserted through his "eye" and out of the bottom of his.........errr..........willy he then had another ring attached to that and then another attached to that so it, apparently (I never saw it to verify the claim !!), looked like half the olympic flag hanging off his bits !!! I never did work out WHY he had that done though......

I am boring and have no tats...never really wanted one, OH hasn't got any either....I have my ears pierced (just the once) My OH has one ear pierced. One of my sons has his eyebrow pierced and a 'Celtic band' tat on one arm, DiL has belly button, and TONGUE (ew) piercings plus tats round her navel (she passed out whilst that one was being done) and on the top on her lower back (ie bum) she has a squashed fairy tattoo that I bought her for Yule a few years ago.....it's hilarious...but not many people see it (I hope)

Some IDIOT decided to try and launch a rocket from his bum Margi. He suffered internal injuries and burns but medical staff think he will recover. What a moron. I don't have a link to the news story but will try and find one for you.

If anyone watched Graham Norton on Monday night they briadcast the incident as filmed by the chaps "friends" on a mobile phone. He looked like a NASA rocket about to take off!!
Back to tatoos - I'm afraid I don't like them at all - I keep thinking what they might look like by the time I get to 80 plus in a nursing home!!

I agree with you BB, I think tatoos look common, and make a woman look common too.
You can't improve on nature in my opinion, and fashions come and go - thank goodness.

I have a little blue bird at the top of my leg He was supposed to have a little cloud around him but I couldnt stand any more pain I think tattoos on ladies, if tasteful, are really very pretty I never regret having it done I have a little bluebird on the top of MY leg. He is carrying two roses on his back. Unfortunately, it looks as if both wings are on the same side of his body (just a little) No-one sees him really, and despite being older, my mother (91) still does not know I have one. She maintains that people with tattoos have not been well brought up!

Please don't think I'm a horrible cruel person, it is just something that you could NOT make up. The aged father of someone I knew got married to a young woman, and they went on honeymoon to a hotel in Spain, which burnt own, and they were both killed. The day after that, a postcard arrived, which had been posted a few days earlier saying "Having a great time, weather wonderful, we are burnt to a crisp"

I just have my ears pierced once. My mum doesn't really approve of body piercings and tattoos so it's not something I've ever thought of getting... too scared of her!!
My eldest sister has a few tattoos and ears pierced a few times and my youngest sister had her belly button pierced which was odd because it was her.
I actually fancied getting my tongue done but I'm allergic to pain ;D

I was told by someone who was a nurse in a nursing home, that sometimes people with tattoos were viewed quite favourably. Rather than being written off as "just" an old person, it made people aware that this person had actually been young once, just like them. We are always 18 in our heads, sadly we are the only ones to see it!
