I have two piercings in both ears and would love to have my belly button done but would not see the piercing for belly, and at 51 too old for a tatoo. CJ

CJ, I was about 46 when I got my tattoo. You should make a trip to Terry's very famous tattoo shop in Glasgow, when you are on holiday. Terry is either retired or deceased, but his two sons have taken over. Go for it girl, you are NEVER too old!

I don't have any piercings/tattoos, but am trying to convince Hubby to get a celtic band around his bicep. I think they're very sexy, but he's not having it, LOL! ;D Celtic band on bicep is Sexy heh? I'm sexy, so obviously have one of those I went to the tatooist and saw he was quivering like a leaf and obviously nervous. I asked him if he was alright and he replied in a shakey voice "So what do you want done?" I said I wanted a Celtic Band on my bicep, but could he be very careful as this was my first time and I was somewhat anxious. Breaking into a cold sweat and stuttering every vowel he splurted "Cccccome.....on which one? This is my very first tattoo!" I said "You too? " at which point I passed out. I woke up with a flippin' picture of Bono from U2 on my arm! Blinkin' Celtic Bands

I agree with you BB, I think tatoos look common, and make a woman look common too. You can't improve on nature in my opinion, and fashions come and go - thank goodness. I'm PROUD to be common! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D and I WAS well brought up. Just went wild after I grew up. My choice I think!

It's too many people preaching about how we should behave that makes some of us rebel. << climbs off soapbox >>

As stated above, I have a tattoo. Got it at the same time as the motorbike and electric guitar lessons, and the marrying of the toyboy. When I had a mid-life crisis, I really went for it. ;D Anyway, My Mum still doesn't know I have one. She says that people who have tattoos have been badly brought up. You said it Mother.

Can't remember whether I said this before but my Mum hates seeing women with tattoos or funny piercings etc. She reckons it's common.
I, however, being of a younger age, don't see any problem with them providing they're tasteful and discreet... ish. I wanted to get my tongue pierced but I'm allergic to pain.
I also wanted to get a tattoo but then I thought to myself "what the hell am I going to look like as an old lady of 90 walking around with this on my body?!"

I dont like to see young girls with tatoos. For some reason I think its very unattractive I dont mind them on men tho, which is a bit weird I think. Trouble with them is when they get old they go a sort of blacky green and look awful. But then whats the point of having one where you can hide it, because no one will see it well most people wont see it I suppose! Well whatever floats ya boat I reckon, but its not for me ..... Im far too refined ..... ;D
