I bought some seeds of this beautiful plant after seeing a clump of them in a NT garden...I got them from Chilterns but with no instructions.. So I googled  Eek...I have to mix the seeds with damp compost, cover them with pine sawdust and set fire to them!! Apparently they need smoke to germinate in their native habitat...exciting, isn't it? ;D Crumbs..... |

Just googled the plant and it is beautiful - well worth the fire hazard.

Quite scary full stop ;D So, they are native to California - I didn't notice if they were hardy or not. Crocus was selling them for £14.99 |
