Barbara I think Fulva is the one i dug out earlier this year. the petals on this one are longer and thinner. i have a vague memory on having seen it somewhere but can't remember when or where.
Tig thats cruel, I've put it into my favourites as there are a few more that I've fancied. Even when not flowering the foliage look good. Thanks to both of you

;D I nearly didn't post it on the basis that it was very tempting ... have you seen what else they have? Fancy some of the Heleniums, and growing advice on Centaurea is very helpful for me  |

very useful as I haven't any Heleniums. I've grown Centaurea macrocephalum from seed, almost every one germinated very quickly so that info will come in very useful.

not that one either Barbara. I checked it out. I think mine is what they describe as a spider type. I've been on dozens of web pages and still not found one like it.

I found one similar which was an un-named cultivar cross between Open Hearth & Kindly Light, so it may not even have a name Beanie
