I'm not a big fan of music first thing in the morning so I tend to listen to 5 live breakfast. However, if I do feel like some music, it's usually Terry I listen to because he's very mellow so isn't too annoying. I don't really like Chris Evans but I'll give him a chance and see how he goes.

My Dad and I used to listen to him in the late 70's when my Dad drove me to school on his way to work. He probably deserves to retire now bless him but it is like losing an institution.

He comes across as quite chirpy and cheerful on the radio (most of the time, but we all have our 'off days') I have the radio on in the morning and listen to him, and I like Ken Bruce, and Brian Matthew. It would be good if they gave some 'newcomers' a chance to shine though, I'm not a great Chris Evans fan personally. He has already made loads of money, and I think they should 'share it out' a bit I reckon there are loads of people doing local radio who have something to contribute to a wider audience without being too radical .. x Tig

I should think he is fed up with getting up so early in a morning - he is getting on a bit I think
I like Sarah Kennedy in a morning but tend not to have anything on at all most of the time to spoil the peace no tv no wireless ;D in a morning

I like peace and quite in the morning - OH on the other hand likes to have everything on in every room I think Terry Wogan is 71 so he does deserve some lie-ins. Excellent idea Spru - find the next Wogan - surprised they didn't think of that.

I prefer radio 4 or radio 7 - talk, rather than "yarpy music". It drives me mad when we have tradespeople in and they have either radio1 or radio2 on constantly!!!!!!

I love to listen to Terry on my half hour drive to work, cant see me listening to Chris Evans at that time in a morning tho he is a bit to enthusiastic for my liking at stupid o clock when I really want to be in bed! I really hope they dont let Dermot OLeary do the tea time show tho because I really cannot stand him. He is soooooooooo boring and such a suck up. He has ruined saturday afternoon radio for me I love my raido 2 have it on all day at work and at home, drives my kids up the wall - the plan is working then ;D

Well I prefer Simon Bates on Classic fm. A bit of humour combined with good music - can't be beat!

The builder next door plays radio 2 on his radio and I've been listening to Terry Wogan by default for the few weeks. When does he finish? (Terry Wogan - not the builder ;D)
