Idiots guides....

As you may of noticed, i've now started 2 "idiots guides" threads. I'm reletively new to veg gardening and hopefully, if i can draw on people's valuable experience with growing certain crops, we can build up a decent database of how to grow lots of different veg for the less experienced.

So Potatoes and now carrots have started....i'll add more in a little while so we don't "flood" the forum with too many topics like this.

Maybe, if we can get enough decent replies with experiences, hints, tips and advice, it can progress into a good sticky for future reference.

Lovely idea andy and I am sure that they will be a mine of information which I doubt very much will want or need sticking....there will be enough interest to keep them "up top"!!

Don't forget to look at our "Grow" threads - there are some very good tips there as well, and I look forward to seeing your growing reports next year. It is lovely to learn from each other.

Suitable varieties
Sowing times
soil requirements
Disease resistance
general maintenance
Harvesting times
storage (where applicable)
Useful hints and tips.
